“STYLE”, the region’s largest and most comprehensive lifestyle product fair, showcase various products across 2,000 booths and exhibitions that attract large number of fairgoers and garner over 3,000 million baht
Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce recently caused a phenomenon with the launch of STYLE 2017, the region’s largest and most comprehensive lifestyle product fair, that combines DITP’s renowned fairs namely Bangkok International Fashion Fair and Bangkok International Leather Fair ( BIFF&BIL); Bangkok International Gift Fair and Bangkok International Houseware Fair (BIG+BIH) and Thailand International Furniture Fair (TIFF) in one. STYLE, held under the concept “Life+Style” is part of the Creative Thailand initiative put together by 24 related associations between October 17-21, 2017, at BITEC Bangna.
DITP aims for STYLE to become an international platform for lifestyle products and elevate the presence of Thai lifestyle industry in Asian and global markets. STYLE rendered itself as a meeting point for small and big Thai entrepreneurs, SME and startups, allowing them to explore business opportunities, penetrate international markets and reach winder and new potential buyers that include real estate developers, architects, designers, concept stores, retail stores and others, as well as increase Thailand’s export to and boost the economy.
STYLE 2017 featured more than 1,000 entrepreneurs and products that ranged from fashion, leather goods, gifts, houseware to furniture on more than 40,000 square meters of display space. The grand event also showcased lifestyle products developed by experts from each niche market segment such as mother and child, OTOP, lifestyle products for seniors, products for men and pet products that have become increasingly popular. Entrepreneurs participating in STYLE secured instant orders worth of 5,115,318.11 USD (168,805,498 Baht) and expected orders of 100,666,922.76 USD (3,341,135,174 Baht), which exceeded transaction.
STYLE also offered various activities and services that catered to the needs of every parties, and specialized services to accommodate entrepreneurs such as Business Matching and interpreter service at Buyer Lounge, logistic consultant service and DITP Service Centre that offered all DITP’s services in one to benefit entrepreneurs that wished to expand their export and trade with international buyers.
More than 20 exhibitions were showcased at STYLE 2017 to spark new ideas and give insight on new trends to create new, profitable products. Among them were co-hosted exhibition with Chaipattana Foundation to pay respect to HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej with sandalwood flower making activity using vetiver grass other exhibition included Trend Forum 2018, QURATED Fashion Incubation Project, Incubation programs for designers and creators to develop their ideas into products
